Shoestring is a new, bi-yearly publication for established and emerging writers, artists and academics based in the north of England. It brings current writing, critical thinking and artistic innovation together in a quality-sized volume.
We look to young artists to provide us with fresh, new ideas. The magazine has an element of guidance about it, with features designed expressly to provide information on the arts industries that can be an obstacle for developing talent. We are particularly interested in artists who are trying to do something new and original with their work, despite their age, location, or formal training.
